🙂 = Typical American fare. So, although there is no kids’ menu, there is plenty to share with the kiddos. HUGE outdoor space complete with a cornhole section, outdoor swings, and cozy seating. Clean bathrooms.

🙁 = No highchairs. No kids’ menu. No kid’s cups. No changing table. If you are of a more modest background, you might think the servers may not be dressed appropriately. Not-so-kid-friendly service.

Notes: This is definitely a bar made for adult patrons. After 3:00PM, it’s a kid-free zone.

Hours: Open every day from 11:00AM until 2:00AM.

After a fun outing at the Pumpkin Patch with two of my favorite friends, we made our way to Little Woodrow’s. This joint opened recently in the Stone Oak area, and several mommies from the local mommies group had mentioned that it was a great place for kiddos like me to run around. So, mommy and her friend flocked to this place like bees to honey.

When we pulled up, we were greeted by a HUGE front lawn with outdoor seating, cozy lawn chairs, a cornhole galley, and swings! I could feel the excitement bubbling up…I was ready to be freeeeeeeeeeee! We were quickly seated outside, but in a very secluded section of the patio… on the side opposite of the fun-looking lawn space. WOMP. Although we had the section to ourselves AND we were seated directly next to a fun outdoor swing, we were hoping to run freely on that awesome green space. Alas, ‘twas not meant to be. ::SIGH::

Just two gals enjoying the fabulous weather!

Because one of my friends was a toddler-foodie-in-training, we asked for a highchair so that he could enjoy his meal and that his mommy could take a little break, but we were quickly told that highchairs weren’t available because “this was a bar….” We instantly felt that toddlers like us weren’t very welcomed at Little Woodrows, BUT we tried to make the best of it and focused on the food. There wasn’t a kids’ menu, but there were a lot of classic favorites like burgers, sandwiches, tacos, and salads, which meant there was plenty to share! You can read the whole menu here!

Buffalo Ranch Goodness!

My sweet friend and I split the Cheese Quesadilla. It came with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa. I wasn’t into all that stuff, but my friend dug right in! Mommy and her friend started with the chips and guacamole, and mommy decided on the Buffalo Ranch Sandwich, and I think it was a hit because there was NOTHING left on her plate after she was done. We ended our adventure there with Funnel Cake for dessert! YUMMO!

Funnel Cake, anyone??

Overall, the food was good, and the atmosphere had the beginnings of being family-friendly, but it was made very apparent that this was intended for an adult-only space. So, I don’t think we’ll be making a trip back any time soon.
