🙂 = Highchairs/booster seats. Kids’ menu with crayons. Changing table and clean bathroom with spacious stalls. Styrofoam cups with lids. Not too busy during the mid-week lunch rush. HUGE portions of yummy food!

🙁 = Service wasn’t as attentive and as friendly as we would have preferred.

If you ask me what my favorite food is, I’ll quickly tell you SPAGHETTI! So, when mommy decided to meet a friend (and her son, a toddler-foodie-in-training!) for lunch at the Italian restaurant Milano’s, I couldn’t help but jump up and down for joy! WOOHOO! We decided to meet midweek during the typical lunch rush time, and we were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant wasn’t overflowing with folks. Instead, there were a handful of guests, and we were quickly seated, which is always great for a antsy toddler foodie waiting to devour her favorite food EVER.

Milano’s in known in the Stone Oak area for its delicious, authentic Italian food. So, in browsing the menu, we definitely saw trademark dishes of Italy – spaghetti, pizza, lasagna, ravioli, linguini – coupled with a variety of proteins from chicken to seafood and beef to veal.  There are plenty of options for food lovers and enough selections to appease even the pickiest of toddler foodies.

Lobster Ravioli

There was a kids’ menu available, and because I was in the mood for spaghetti, mommy ordered straight from that menu. My meal came with a kids’ drink (styrofoam, straw, and all!). The portion was HUGE for a little tyke like me, but I enjoyed as much of its as I could. The great thing was that I was able to take it home and nibble on it later.  Mommy, on the other hand, ordered the Lobster Ravioli. (I may have mentioned this before, but she is a lobster FIEND.) I don’t think she was much of a fan… She thought the ravioli was much too fishy for her taste… and that’s saying a lot! Her friend ordered the Margherita Pizza, and it looked delicious! It came on a thicker crust and in the perfection size for a lunch portion. I think she enjoyed it very much!

Overall, Milano’s was a great place to visit. It’s very kid-friendly and has all the amenities needed to have a fun toddler food outing. We’ll definitely be back to try more… especially their pizza!
